How to connect to SpotReader and GeneSpring computer

Requirements

1. Make sure that you have an account on SpotReader/GeneSpring computer. If not call to Ron 2614.
2. Register at internal service first. Someone else may have occupied you time spot.
3. You must have a PC with windows XP as an operating system.

Procedure

1. Go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Communication and click on "Remote Desktop Connection" (RDC)

   

2. Configure your RDC by pressing on "Options"

3. To be able to transfer data, press on "local resources" tab and check Disk drives

   

4. For fast connection go to "Experience" tab and select LAN from pull down menu. Desktop background must be selected.

   

5. In the computer window at the top write: microarray.weizmann.ac.il

   

6. Press "Connect" button.

7. Next time repeat step 7 only.
