Connecting to biocourse
use biocourse.weizmann.ac.il when outside WIS

File transfer: SFTP
You may transfer files to/from biocourse using any SFTP client.

On Windows consider WinSCP, a good SFTP, FTP and SCP client for Windows. WinSCP includes a basic text editor, enough for editing your files over the network.

On Macintosh consider Cyberduck, a good FTP, SFTP, WebDAV & Amazon S3 Browser for Mac OS X. Cyberduck is able top interact with TextWrangler, so you may transfer and edit files from the same interface.


Console access: SSH
You need a SSH terminal emulator.

On Windows use WinSCP or PuTTY, both Telnet and SSH client.

On Mac OS X, simply open the Terminal and type on the command line:
ssh youruserid@biocourse.weizmann.ac.il
and press Return.
